XHT tips: for the joint that swallows a normal tip.
Some joints — a battery tab, a busbar, a chassis ground — take more heat than a standard tip can deliver. XHT tips carry the largest body and the widest faces in the WSP-compatible range.

What it is
Stored heat is a feature, not a compromise.
A heavy tip is slower to heat and slower to cool. On a small pad that is a disadvantage; on a battery tab it is the only way to keep the face above the melting point while the joint forms. XHT tips are chosen for the second case.
The face is usually a wide chisel, sometimes with a bevel, so the heat enters the joint over an area rather than at a point. The shank is sized for the XHT sleeve; confirm the iron before ordering.
Published geometries
XHT codes, faces and typical joints.
Face width is quoted as the class for that code. The exact A/B/C/D dimensions for a specific part number are issued with the quotation, not estimated on the page.
| Code | Face | Working width | Typical joint |
|---|---|---|---|
| XHT-D | Chisel | 4 mm class | Battery tabs |
| XHT-DV | Wide chisel | 6 mm class | Busbars |
| XHT-DV10 | Wide chisel | 10 mm class | Chassis grounds |
| XHT-K | Screwdriver | 5 mm class | Heavy connector rows |
| XHT-B | Conical, heavy | 2 mm class | Deep access |
Codes are listed by face family. Variants with a different width, bend or reach are ground to order; send the drawing or the joint photograph and we will confirm the code.
Compatibility
What it fits — and what to check.
| Machine or holder | Interface | Note |
|---|---|---|
| XHT iron | XHT shank | Direct fit |
| WSP150 / 151 | LHT shank | Use LHT series |
| WSP80 | small sleeve | Use WSP80 series |
Model names describe the machine a part fits. XANJO replacement parts are independent parts, not original equipment manufacturer parts.
Dimensions
Four numbers define the part.
A is the overall length from the seat to the working face. B is the shank or body diameter. C is the width of the working face. D is the reach from the seat reference to the face — the number that decides whether the part can touch the joint without the housing fouling the board.
We hold ±0.05 mm on the shank and seat, and we issue the drawing revision with every batch. If a dimension is not measured, it does not go on the drawing: that is why some codes are marked “drawing on request” rather than filled with an estimate.
Ordering
Samples, minimums and lead time.
XHT faces are ground to order; allow five working days for a width that is not stocked.
- Minimum order
- 20 pcsper geometry, mixed codes allowed within a family
- Custom samples
- 5 daysground or machined on the production line
- Stocked codes
- 48 hdispatch after order confirmation
- Batch documents
- Includeddimension report, plating or face report, RoHS 3 declaration
Questions we are asked
XHT fitting and ordering.
When should I use an XHT tip instead of an LHT?
When the joint still cools an LHT face. Battery tabs, busbars and chassis grounds are the usual cases. If an LHT tip stays shiny and wets quickly, you do not need the extra mass.
Will a heavy tip damage a small pad?
It can if it is used on a pad that cannot take the heat. Match the face to the joint; a heavy tip is not a universal upgrade.
Can you make a custom XHT face?
Yes, to drawing. The body is standard; the face is ground to order.
Are these OEM parts?
No. XANJO replacement tips are independent parts.

If this is not your machine.
Send the part number. We’ll send the drawing.
A code, a machine model or a photograph of the holder is enough. We reply with the geometry, the A/B/C/D drawing and the specification within one working day.
