Why we publish tip dimensions — and most brands don’t
A dimension table removes the only reason to call a sales line. That is exactly why it is worth publishing.
Manufacturer of soldering tips · Dongguan, China
One plant · four processes
XANJO turns, grinds, iron-plates and inspects every tip in our own plant in Dongguan. Nothing is bought in finished and re-labelled. 400+ geometries across 12 platforms, with a drawing for the exact part number issued before you order.
Tooled for the platforms you already run
01 Product families
Tips are grouped by the machine they fit, not by our internal part numbers. Pick the family, then the geometry.

03 Why direct
Six questions buyers ask before switching supplier — and the answer from each side of the table.
| Question | Trading company | XANJO |
|---|---|---|
| Where does the tip come from? | Bought finished, re-labelled, shipped | Turned and ground on our own CNC line |
| Can I see the dimensions? | Shared after the order is placed | Published for all 400+ geometries |
| How is the iron layer controlled? | Not disclosed | By plating thickness, not by time |
| How fast is a sample? | Two to three weeks, from a third party | Five working days, from our line |
| What ships with the batch? | A commercial invoice | Inspection report and material declarations |
| Who answers technical questions? | A sales desk | The people who set the machine |
04 Applications
Different joints need different heat delivery. These are the six jobs our customers bring us most often.
Chisel for through-hole, conical for single pins, knife for drag work on fine pitch.
Large thermal mass, short cycle. Bevel and wide chisel geometries hold temperature through the joint.
Busbars and nickel tabs need stored heat. Slotted thermodes and wide blades are the usual answer.
0.3 mm pitch connectors. Bent conical tips reach the pad without touching the housing.
Hot-bar thermodes strip and bond enamel wire in one step, without pre-tinning.
Delicate leads, tight clearance. Low-mass tips with fast recovery keep the joint under 3 s.
05 The company
XANJO Precision Technology Co., Ltd. runs a soldering-tip factory in Dongguan, south China. We turn, grind, plate and inspect on the same site — barrel, iron core, nickel layer, final geometry check.
That is why we can publish dimensions. When a customer asks whether a 1.2 mm chisel will clear a 0.8 mm pad, nobody has to check with a supplier. We walk to the grinder.

07 Quality & compliance
EU buyers do not just need a tip that fits. They need a file that survives an audit. Every order leaves Dongguan with the documents below, and the certificate set travels with the first shipment.
Quality and compliance detail →A documented quality management system governs production. Certificate available on request.
A declaration covering the ten restricted substances can be issued with a shipment.
Screening against the current candidate list can be stated on the packing list on request.
Shank diameter, length and tip profile measured against the drawing, packed with the goods.
08 News & notes

A dimension table removes the only reason to call a sales line. That is exactly why it is worth publishing.

At 250 °C, molten tin eats the iron layer. The only question is how long that layer can afford to lose.

Both hold solder. Only one leaves a fillet you can inspect without a microscope.
09 Questions
The five questions that come up in almost every first email. If yours is not here, ask it directly — the reply comes from the production team, not a call centre.
Ask a technical question →We manufacture. Copper and iron bar stock is turned, the profile is ground on CNC centres, the iron and nickel layers are plated on our own line, and each batch is dimension-checked and solder-tested before packing — all on one site in Dongguan.
20 pieces per geometry for stocked items. Mixed geometries can be combined to reach the minimum, so a trial order can cover several shapes at once.
Stocked geometries are dispatched as samples in 5 working days. A geometry cut to your drawing takes 7 to 10 working days, because a new grinding profile has to be set up first.
Yes. Send the drawing, the OEM number, or a photograph of the tip next to a rule. We confirm shank diameter, length and tip geometry in writing before production, and hold ±0.05 mm on the shank.
RoHS and REACH declarations can be issued with a shipment on request, together with a dimensional inspection report. Quality certificates and material declarations are available on request.
10 Contact
Send the model number, or a photo of the iron socket next to a rule. We identify the geometry and reply within one working day.
Photo, OEM number or a sketch with three dimensions is enough to start.
A written spec and a quote, usually the next working day.
Samples in 5 days, then production and dispatch with the batch file.
