DVAP cartridges: long blades for connector work.

DVAP is the long-blade family. L12, L13 and L16 reach past a housing and drag along a connector row, where the limit is usually access rather than heat.

What it is

Reach is the reason this series exists.

Definition: A DVAP cartridge is a long-shaft tip for a robotic holder that takes the L / P shaft pattern. The code carries the length and the face: L12, L13 and L16 step up the blade width, and PDZ is the bent variant.

Connector soldering on an automatic line is a reach problem before it is a heat problem. The cartridge has to clear the housing, land on the row and drag without lifting. That is why this range is dominated by long L codes and blade faces.

A long shaft amplifies any bend, so straightness is checked over the full length rather than at the holder. If the reach you need is not in the table, send the overall length and the obstruction; we will grind to the drawing.

Published geometries

DVAP codes, faces and typical joints.

Face width is quoted as the class for that code. The exact A/B/C/D dimensions for a specific part number are issued with the quotation, not estimated on the page.

Codes are listed by face family. Variants with a different width, bend or reach are ground to order; send the drawing or the joint photograph and we will confirm the code.

Model names describe the machine a part fits. XANJO replacement parts are independent parts, not original equipment manufacturer parts.

Dimensions

Four numbers define the part.

A is the overall length from the seat to the working face. B is the shank or body diameter. C is the width of the working face. D is the reach from the seat reference to the face — the number that decides whether the part can touch the joint without the housing fouling the board.

We hold ±0.05 mm on the shank and seat, and we issue the drawing revision with every batch. If a dimension is not measured, it does not go on the drawing: that is why some codes are marked “drawing on request” rather than filled with an estimate.

Questions we are asked

DVAP fitting and ordering.

How long a shaft can you make?

Long enough to match the drawing, within the stiffness the process needs. Send the overall length and the obstruction; very long shafts are quoted individually because they are checked over the full length.

Will a long blade flex?

Any long shaft flexes under load. The question is whether it returns to the same position after each cycle, which is why straightness and material section matter more than length alone.

Can I get a bent version?

Yes. PDZ and similar bent codes are ground to order. Send the angle and the clearance.

Are these OEM parts?

No. XANJO replacement cartridges are independent parts.

Send the part number. We’ll send the drawing.

A code, a machine model or a photograph of the holder is enough. We reply with the geometry, the A/B/C/D drawing and the specification within one working day.
